Working with parents in Child Psychotherapy : A workshop to examine and explore
22nd June 2014 Finchley, North London
This full day workshop will examine and explore working with parents in theory and clinical practice for child and adolescent psychotherapists and counsellors.
The workshop is aimed at clinical child and adolescent psychotherapists / counsellors and senior trainees. You do not need to have worked with parents - an interest in the topic is good enough! You are asked to have in mind one case in which working with parents might potentially be of use.
The workshop is led by Laine Jäderberg MA and Mandy Sarankin MA who are both Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.
Laine and Mandy are currently developing a model of intensive parent-child work which can either be a stand alone treatment or used in conjunction with one-to-one therapy with either parent or child. This model is a work in progress and although this will not be the main focus of the workshop, the model will be discussed.
The day is reasonably priced at £50 including lunch
The discounted price reflects the fact that you will be asked to allow discussions around theory and practice to be recorded and possibly used in a Doctoral research project looking at best practice in parent-child psychotherapy. All material will be fully anonymised.
There are a limited number of places on this workshop and space will be given on a first come-first served basis.
